barossa valley shiraz, 2015

tasting notes

Here is what our winemaker has to say about the 2015 vintage of Mother Tongue Shiraz:

Beautiful deep ruby color hints at a wine with tons of allure. Scents of black-cherry, blackberries and a beautiful floral note. Also shows very pretty toast, smoke, caramel and vanilla from judicious oak aging. The palate is potent yet so light on its feet; delicious red and black fruits along with the smoke and vanilla. Finishing long and lovely with a perfume that lingers forever. Delicious today and (if you can keep your hands of it) will cellar for years to come.

2014 tasting notes

Smells Wonderful! Rich chocolate, blueberry pie crust and lavish French Oak, vanilla and toast. For being so precious and delicious, it’s amazingly light on it’s feet and is all about black Shiraz fruit, chocolate and vanilla on the palate. Could drink it tonight or hold it for a decade- Either way, it’s damn delicious.
